What's New - Pathway Developer

Pathway Developer Release 2023.21

Pathway Developer Release 2023.21 contains the following:

  • Password Rotation
    The Pathway Developer password, must now be updated every 6 months as a minimum.

  • Pathway Developer Help
    The link to the Help Files has been updated, so when you select Help, you are taken straight to the Pathway Developer section of the help.

  • Email Recalls
    You can now send patients Recall invitations by email, this includes filters to identify Validated Email Addresses .

    Following the generation of the invitation, the patient's record is updated to indicate an email invitation has been sent.

    Note - The Declined Emails and Invalid Emails filters will be implemented in a later release.
  • Merge View Updated
    When generating recalls, the Merge screen now includes additional information:
    Invite Count, Next Due Date and Last Invite Type

  • SNOMED CT Update
    Pathway Developer has been updated with the SNOMED CT 36.2 Dictionary plus mapped Read codes.

  • QOF 48 Business Rules Update - England
    Pathway Developer
    has been updated with the 2023-2024 QOF 48 Business Rules for England.

  • QAIF 40 Business Rules Update - Wales
    Pathway Developer
    has been updated with the 2023-2024 QAIF 40 Business Rules for Wales.

  • Calculators
    The Alcohol Daily or Weekly Calculator has been redesigned, moving the option to calculate Daily or Weekly units to the top of the calculator.

2023 - Pathway Developer Release 2023.11

  • Improve Performance
    Changes have been made to improve the speed of loading Pathways when the application starts.

  • Pathways containing User Libraries can now be copied using the Save As Function
    Pathway Authors can create reusable sections in a Pathway and save these in the User Library, enabling them to be easily reused in further Pathways.
    Any Pathway which contains items from the User Library now has a Save as option.

  • SNOMED CT Update
    Pathway Developer has been updated with the SNOMED CT 35.2 Dictionary plus mapped Read codes.

2022 - Pathway Developer Release 2022.26

  • QOF DM006 update for Northern Ireland
    When viewing patient's data for the DM006 indicator, this has been enhanced to include both recording and viewing of Proteinuria and Micro-Albuminuria entries.

2022 - Pathway Developer Release 2022.25

  • QOF 39 Business Rules Update - Northern Ireland
    Pathway Developer
    has been updated with the 2022-2023 QOF 39 Business Rules for Northern Ireland.

  • Calculators
    The Electronic Frailty Index (eFi) Calculator has been removed in preparation for a new and improved Electronic Frailty Index (eFi) Calculator.

2022 - Pathway Developer Release 2022.21

  • About Box
    This displays the Pathway Developer version number and QOF version.

  • DM&D Codes are now available for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
    Previously, Pathways for these countries could only be authored using READ2 codes, now DM&D codes can be used for medication items.

  • Blood Pressure Data Entry
    The Blood Pressure data entry form has been enhanced to include validation on the values to minimise data entry errors, and labels added to indicate the correct boxes for the systolic and diastolic readings.

  • Display Attachments, Hyperlinks and Images within Templates
    The functionality to display attachments, hyperlinks and images within a template has been enhanced to show/hide these based on logic relating to user input.

  • Display all Clinical Description text within Templates
    The clinical description box now automatically resizes and displays the full text.

  • Practice Reports - Display Report Run Date in the Title Bar
    When running the Practice Reports these can be run for any date, the date now displays in the Title Bar, so that it's easy to see the Report Date when viewing the report.

  • Practice Reports - Change Report Date
    Previously, after running a report it would need to be closed to change the date, now a user can select the File tab and select a new date to re-run the report.

  • Mail Merge - Define Value/Comment associated with a Clinical Term

    Default comments or values can be added to a clinical code by the Pathway Author, enabling these to be automatically added to the patient record when a Mail Merge is performed.

  • Mail Merge - Confirmation Notification
    On completion of a Mail Merge Bulk Insert, a notification displays "Bulk insert process has completed".

  • Pseudonymised CSV file includes Report Date and Run Date
    When creating a pseudonymised CSV file within Category Analysis, this now includes the Report Date and Run Date within both the file name and as additional columns within the file.

    Pathway Developer can now be launched from Microsoft Edge.

2022 - Pathway Developer Release 2022.15

  • QOF 47 Business Rules Update
    Pathway Developer
    has been updated with the QOF 47 Business Rules.

  • SNOMED CT Update
    Pathway Developer has been updated with the SNOMED CT 33.1 Dictionary.

  • QOF 46 Business Rules Update
    Pathway Developer
    has been updated with the QOF 46 Business Rules.

  • QAIF 2021/22 Update - Wales
    Pathway Developer has been updated with the QAIF 2021/22 Updates for Wales.

  • Libre Office
    Pathway Developer is now compatible with Libre Office.

  • Patient Summary Report
    The Patient Summary report has been enhanced to include additional details:

    • Detailed prescribing information
      • Current medication with side effects

      • Repeat medication usage

    • Actions
      Actions can be applied to both Indicators and/or Medication.
      This enables you to select a Medication or Indicator then choose an action, for example, Medication - Increase dose, and the details are copied to the free text to minimise data entry.
